I haven't done that for two years! Actually that's a lie. I remember making a very posh choccy cake when I had some friends round last year - a lot of effort for an OK cake!
The last time I did, I made a fruit cake for hubby's birthday - only he disappeared and so didn't eat it! I kept it in the cake tin for about six weeks, until his friend G persuaded me to throw it away! Strangely it hadn't gone mouldy.
But this is a lovely cake! Am not altogether sure how I'm gonna get it out of the cake box once I get to MusicMan, as it's a tight fit!
